DAINIK NATION BUREAU/NEW DELHI

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami campaigns in Greater Kailash for BJP candidate Shikha Rai in the Delhi Assembly elections. He Urged voters to ensure a decisive victory for the BJP. He reiterated the party’s commitment to progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Highlighting Uttarakhand’s achievements, CM Dhami said the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) has been implemented in the state. With this Uttarakhand becomes the first state in India to introduce an equal legal framework for all communities. He credited this success to the “double-engine government” of BJP, referring to aligned state and central leadership.

CM Dhami criticized Delhi Ex Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of misleading governance. He alleged that Kejriwal prioritized opening liquor shops over schools, even situating these establishments near temples and educational institutions. “In winter, Delhi turns into a gas chamber, but Kejriwal blames the farmers for the pollution,” Dhami stated. He also pointed to failures in water and sewerage management, claiming residents are forced to consume contaminated water.

Focusing on the Greater Kailash constituency, Dhami accused AAP MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj of neglecting local issues during his tenure as Vice President of Jal Nigam. “Greater Kailash has been turned into ‘Gutter Kailash,’” Dhami remarked, highlighting the worsening water and sewer problems.

Criticizing AAP’s promises to clean the Yamuna, Dhami said, “The Yamuna originates clean in Uttarakhand, but as it reaches Delhi, it becomes unfit even for irrigation. For the last 10 years Kejriwal has been promising to clean the river but nothing has been done yet.”

CM Dhami also targeted the Congress party, accusing them of corruption, appeasement, and supporting divisive forces. He urged voters to reject both AAP and Congress, saying, “This time, Delhi is ready to teach them a lesson.”

Prominent BJP leaders, including Suresh Bhadana, MA Akram, and Vinay Rohila, attended the event alongside local supporters.
