Devotees asked to do Chardham Yatra only as per the registration date, CM Dhami

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has asked Char Dham officials to strict adhere Char Dham Yatra registration dates. During a review of ongoing Char Dham Yatra here in secretariat, CM Dhami directed senior officials to oversee ground-level Yatra arrangements and priority should be devotees’ safety.

He urged devotees to adhere strictly to their allocated registration dates, advising them to plan their visits according to the assigned schedule. Additionally, CM Dhami emphasized the importance of undergoing health check-ups and monitoring weather forecasts before commencing the journey, highlighting the state government’s primary objective of ensuring a safe and healthy Char Dham Yatra experience for all participants.

Chief Minister Dhami further instructed officials to postpone VIP darshan arrangements in all four Dhams until May 31, emphasizing the need to regulate the flow of devotees in accordance with the daily capacity set for each site. Strengthening the registration system and implementing stringent checks at checkpoints were among the measures outlined to uphold Yatra regulations effectively.

To ensure transparent communication of Chardham Yatra arrangements, Chief Minister Dhami urged senior government officials to conduct daily media briefings, disseminating essential information to the public through media channels. He underscored the significance of crowd and travel management during the Yatra, tasking the Director General of Police with overseeing traffic and crowd control operations personally.

Highlighting the economic importance of the Chardham Yatra, Chief Minister Dhami called for collective efforts to facilitate a smooth and hassle-free pilgrimage experience. He stressed the need for coordination among districts along the Yatra routes and urged devotees to adhere to health protocols throughout their religious journey.

Chief Minister Dhami also held virtual discussions with District Magistrates from Rupradprayag, Chamoli, and Uttarkashi districts to assess Yatra preparations and address any challenges faced by the district administrations promptly.

Overall, the state government under Chief Minister Dhami’s leadership is committed to ensuring a seamless and safe Chardham Yatra experience, prioritizing the well-being and satisfaction of devotees undertaking this sacred pilgrimage in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand.
