Scathing attack against opposition INDIA bloc, BJP president JP Nadda said that these parties are solely focused on their families. They have no regard for the common man. Addressing a rally in Mussoorie to seek support for BJP candidate Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah from Tehri Garhwal. He also reiterated that BJP’s manifesto (Sankalp Patra) has talked about the path of developed Bharat.
Praising Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami Nadda said CM Dhami’s initiatives particularly Uniform Civil Code and the issuance of 52 lakh Atal Ayushman cards are phenomenal achievements of the state under his leadership. Now UCC has been included into BJP Sankalp Patra. He also said that various development projects are progressing in Mussoorie.
Highlighting the party’s resolution Nadda tried to ensure the Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He emphasized that this election is not just about winning a seat, but about fulfilling the vision of a developed India under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. Nadda reflected on the transformation in Indian politics over the last decade, noting that there was once a widespread belief of political apathy where people thought nothing would change. However, he credited PM Modi with redefining politics and bringing about significant changes.
Nadda commended the strict lockdown imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic, attributing India’s preparedness to the decisive actions taken by PM Modi. He highlighted the rapid development of vaccines in India, with the country administering 220 crore double doses and leading the world in vaccine distribution. India’s vaccine diplomacy has reached 100 countries, with 48 countries receiving vaccines for free.
Under PM Modi’s leadership, Nadda noted the extensive development projects across the country. He mentioned the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana connecting over 3 lakh villages with roads, providing water supply to households, building toilets, and implementing the Ayushman Bharat scheme. The BJP manifesto promises to extend Ayushman Bharat benefits to all individuals above 70 years and include the Kinnar community.
Regarding defense, Nadda highlighted the implementation of One Rank One Pension (OROP), benefiting 1 lakh 26 thousand soldiers in Uttarakhand. He mentioned the construction of over 13,525 km of roads in border areas, including 947 kilometers in Uttarakhand. He praised PM Modi for placing Uttarakhand in the mainstream and initiating projects like the Vibrant Village Scheme, Char Dham road, and rail line extensions.
Nadda also touched on various welfare schemes such as Kisan Samman Nidhi, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He highlighted the smart city status for Dehradun, the construction of a new airport terminal, and the extension of development funds to Panchayats.
Turning to the opposition, Nadda criticized their lack of unity and diverse manifestos despite forming alliances. He accused the opposition of being an “alliance of corrupt people” focused on saving their own interests. Nadda cited past scams under Congress rule, including Bofors, AgustaWestland, coal, 2G, as well as laptop distribution in Uttar Pradesh and the fodder scam in Bihar. He concluded by asserting that the BJP-NDA resolution is focused on the public’s welfare and development, contrasting it with the self-serving agenda of the opposition parties.
