Uttarakhand Police has booked five person including an ex IAS in Dera Karseva Chief Baba Tarsem Singh murder case in Nanakmatta. Baba Tarsem Singh, the Dera Kar Seva Pramukh of Nanakmatta Gurdwara in Udham Singh Nagar district, was brutally shot dead by two unidentified assailants on Thursday morning. The shooting incident captured in CCTV. It occurred just days after Singh had reportedly raised his voice about his safety.
Uttarakhand Police has taken action by registering an FIR for murder and conspiracy. The FIR names five individuals, including a retired IAS officer who serves as the head of the gurdwara’s management committee.
According to the FIR, Punjab resident Sarvjeet Singh is identified as the bike rider, with UP resident Amarjeet Singh as the pillion rider who fired the fatal shots. Additionally, three others have been implicated in the case: Harvansh Singh Chugh, a retired IAS officer and head of the Nanakmatta Gurdwara Management Committee; Pritam Singh Sandhu, the Tarai (Sikh) Mahasabha vice-president; and Baba Anoop Singh, the chief jathedar of Gurdwara Har Govind Singh.
