Outrage in public after students’ anti-social comment on Facebook

In the midst of sad and anger, a Kashmiri student in Dehradun caused public outrage after posting objectionable comment on social media on Friday. The accused student is a parag medical at Subharti University. Angered by the comments, the public shouted slogans in front the college, where Kashmiri students are studying. The police reached there and used light force to control the students & public who were shouting and protesting. The police force was also deployed around the college.

Dehradun Senior Superintendent of Police Nivedita Kukreti said that the police is investigating the case. The accused  is absconding since Thursday evening. Search for him is going on. Here, the college administration has also issued a show-cause notice to the student suspended. On the other hand, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that security agencies are investigating the anti-country remarks on social media. Action will be taken against the accused after the investigation.

According to the police, Kashmiri resident Keshar Rashid posted a message on Facebook in Pulwama terrorist attack that “I’m Happy Today has become a Chicken Dinner” on Thursday evening. According to the police, a student added in his friend list objected to his post, but he started threatening her, but soon after the post went viral it was Keshar’s turn to feel the anger of the public. Keshar then posted an apology post. Despite this his comments, were viral on social media.
