Spicejet to begin air services from Dehradun to 3 new cities

Air services for three new cities will start from Jollygrant Airport Dehradun on January 20. After which Dehradun will be connected to Jammu, Amritsar and Jaipur via air services. The rent for these services will be decided soon.

Vinod Sharma, director of Jollygrant Airport Dehradun, said on Wednesday that air services will start for three new cities from January 20. He said that people will be able to avail direct flights from Dehradun to Amritsar, Jammu and Jaipur from January 20. With the commencement of these services, tourism will be promoted in the Garhwal division of Uttarakhand.

Through these three new air services, Dehradun Airport will be connected directly to 10 airports in the country such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pantnagar, Jammu, Amritsar and Jaipur. Apart from this, air services will start soon for Pithoragarh from Dehradun Airport under Regional Contact Scheme. Slowly air services are being started from the airport to various places. He said that the new air services starting Jan. 20 will be through SpiceJet.
