Snowfall in Uttarakhand claims 6 lives

Six people lost their lives due to snowfall and rains inUttarakhand. A car slipped into the ice near Cherbang village of Ghat block in Chamoli district and fell into a depth of 250 meters. Tehsildar Sohan Singh Raagan said that in the incident, Lakshmi Devi (42) and Lakshmi Devi’s brother-in-law Rajendra Singh (45) died. Driver Harpal Singh was injured. Ravi Babu, 58, a polytechnic worker in Narendranagar, died on Monday night due to slippery rain and darkness. In another incident, Raiyala resident driver Badar Singh (35) died due to heavy boulder collapse on a dumper near Saudapani on Badrinath highway. On the other hand, the car in Uttarkashi went to the river Bhagirathi.  Two children in Haridwar got burnt due to celestial lightning.
