PWD gets Rs 100 crore

Additional Chief Secretary Om Prakash has approved a sum of Rs 100 crores for the construction of 116 road and 31 bridges under NABARD funded scheme in the state for this year.

In this regard, Additional Chief Secretary has directed the Chief Engineer PWD that the contractual bodies engaged in these work should be made payment on the basis of the physical progress as per the implied terms of payment in the contract/MoU. He has also given instructions to ensure strict adherence to the instructions issued in this regard.

Additional Chief Secretary issued instructions for competition of the work within the stipulated time period and to ensure the testing of the construction material in the laboratory. He also said that the concerned Executive Engineer and Superintending Engineer should be fully responsible for the design and quantities mentioned in the estimates.
