CS reviews progress of Investors summit

Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh took a review meeting of the follow-up of MoUs signed during the Investors Summit at Secretariat on Wednesday. He directed the Industry Department’s Monitoring and Follow-up Cell to continuously contact the investors and solve their problems. He instructed to set up the industries in timely bound manner. So far 602 investors have done MoU of Rs 1 lakh 24 thousand crores. Chief Secretary held project wise detailed discussions regarding the implementation of MoUs of Rs 9 thousand 5 hundred and 30 crore done in the Investors Summit. And discussing the proposals of investment target of Rs 10 thousand crores for the next three months, he held discussions with the departmental nodal officers for their establishment in timely manner.

In the meeting, IT Secretary RK Sudhanshu gave detailed information on the progress of the proposals received pertaining to AYUSH and Information Technology. He told that work on 2 projects in IT is under progress and 6 proposals are to be filled in the CAF soon. He informed that in AYUSH, proposals worth Rs 211.5 crore have come, work of one of which is under operation and 7 proposals will be executed in 3 months and one proposal will get started in 6 months.

Additional Secretary/Director Solar Power Alok Shekhar Tiwari said that the tender for the allocation of three small hydro projects in Pithoragarh district will be invited by the coming week. He said that the construction cost of these three projects of 40 MW is approximately Rs 400 crore. He said that through the local residents in the hill areas, for the establishment of solar energy projects of 200 MW capacity, tender process is in progress and Rs 800 crore investment is expected. Director Industries Dr. Sudhir Nautiyal said that implementation work of the investment proposal of Rs 4000 thousand crore in manufacturing has started. He apprised that investors problems are being solved immediately with the One Window system and all investors are being encouraged to file soon CAF application through single window.

The meeting proceedings were conducted by Principal Secretary Industries Manisha Panwar. Officers of various departments were present in the meeting.
