CS asks build infrastructure at par of national standard

To review the preparations for the 38th National Games, which is schedule to be held in Uttarakhand, Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh convened a meeting on thursday.

Chief Secretary instructed that the infrastructural facilities prepared by Uttarakhand government should be got inspected by different sports associations and infrastructural facilities should be at par with the standards for the organization of the National Games.

Chief Secretary said that there would be need to hire specialist agencies for work in different sectors. The Chief Secretary also instructed that sports officers of the state should visit Kerala and Goa where National games are being held to know about the infrastructural facilities there.

He said that the facilities being provided by these states and the experiences from participating in these games will help Uttarakhand in preparing the facilities for the National games. Chief Secretary Instructed that the Detailed project report (DPR) prepared by Ms. Collage Design Mumbai should be inspected. Sports Secretary Bhupinder Kaur Aulakh, Secretary Finance Amit Negi, IG Sanjay Gunjial, DIG GS Martolia, Sports Director Pratap Shah,Secretary MDDA P.C.Dumka and other present in the meeting .
