Govt wants to give more time to encroachers

In wake of the fact that administrative officials and employees are busy on account of relief works because of the heavy rains in the state and the problems being faced by common citizens, the state government will file a petition in the Supreme Court requesting to extend the deadline for removal of encroachments.

On Friday, Higher Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, MLA Ganesh Joshi, Khajandas, Harbans Kapoor, Umesh Sharma, Puran Fartyal, Surendra Singh Negi, Sunil Uniyal Gama, met the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, in this regard, at CM residence.

Chief Minister said that the priority of the government and administration is to provide relief to the citizens in the situation of disaster. He also directed the Advocate General S.N.Babulkar in the meeting that on Monday itself, a petition should filed by the state government in the Supreme Court making the Court aware about the entire situation and a request be made to extend the deadline to remove encroachments in the state.
