CM flags off Shaheed Swabhiman yatra

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has said that national interest is supreme. Only, a person who has sense of respect for the motherland can be helpful in the progress of the country. In a brief programme at CM residence on Sunday, CM flagged off  the ongoing Shaheed Swabhiman Yatra from Dehradun for its next destination. CM said that as per the Indian culture, the birthplace is considered as mother. Our first responsibility is towards our motherland. Brave sons of Bharat Mata, who attained martyrdom during freedom struggle and after Independence to ensure the freedom of the country, can never be forgotten. It is a matter of happiness that our youth have a sense of respect for the martyrs.

While extending his wishes to convener of Swabhiman Yatra Surender Singh Bidhuri, Chief Minister hoped that Swabhiman Yatra will be successful in its objectives. Notably, Shaheed Swabhiman Yatra started from New Delhi on March 23. After covering 16500-KM in 23 states during a period of 79 days, the Yartra had reached Dehradun on Saturday. In total, 25000-KM will be covered in 29 states.
