Strange but true, to rejuvenate Rispana river Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat is going to do special prayer at its originating point and will flow 108 earthen lamp into the river on Monday. To revive the Rispana River MAD had made detailed presentation and later they along with eco task force had made ground survey. As we know Rispana river has turned into a nullah in city. After ground survey they submitted its report to the government. In view of this, Dehradun DM along with other department concerned officials had visited to its orginating point falls in Makdem village of Mussoorie, which is 15 kilometer away from clock tower.
The area falls in Makdet village, which is 15 kilometers away from clock tower, land mark of Dehradun. At the august moment CM along with noted environmentalist Rajendra Singh and Sachhidanda Bharati would flow 108 earthen lamp in the river. To review the ground situation DM Murugeshan along with irrigation, forest and jal sansthan visited to the Rispana river’s originating points today and given some instruction with a note that he would visit again here on tomorrow.
On Monday CM would do special prayer and will pledge to revive Rispana river by flowing 108 earthen lamp into the river. For this he has asked the irrigation department to make arrangement of stage. To give its giant look you cut nearby bushes and sprinkle lime and bleaching powder too. City Commissioner Vijay Kumar Jogadande has been asked to make arrangement of podium from where CM would make public address.
Jal Sansthan officials instructed to make arrangement of barricading because the road leading to the originating points are too narrow. Project Director has been instructed to install organic and inorganic dustbin in and around the venue. Thereafter drudging in Rispana river would begin. To revive the River experts of IIT Roorkee and NGOs support being sought by the state government.
As we know that since inception of Trivendra Singh Rawat government in the state, CM has been consistently putting effort on how to revive the River. For this he himself along with state BJP President Ajay Bhatt had sprinkled some chemical in Rispana and Bindal river.
