Replying to the Uttarakhand PCC president Preetam Singh, who had alleged that the state’s law and order situation has collapsed under the BJP led Uttarakhand government, chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that state law and order situation is under control and law abiding citizens are safe here. Only those who are having criminal minded are under stress. with this comment CM has sent message that such incident against criminals may happen in future.
Roorkee shootout in which one gang member was shot dead while under police protection, had only shown the alarming deterioration in law and order. He said that the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat keeps talking about the state government having zero-tolerance to corruption. But, he does not seem to notice anomalies in his own cabinet.
