Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has said that rejuvenation campaigns for Rispana and Kosi rivers have been started. State has decided to develop 670 Nayay Panchayat as growth centers. Their government is committed for good governance and corruption free transparent governance. Employment opportunities and economical development should be available to the rural areas along with basic facilities to curb the migration. Thirteen new tourist destinations in 13 districts are being developed. Pilgrims in large numbers visited the Chardham this year.
CM released a development magazine ‘Sankalp se Sidhi…Na Rukenge Na thakenge….Bus Age hi Badenge’, which was compiled by the Department of information and public Relation (DIPR) ” at Information Directorate on the occasion of 18th Foundation Day of the State. CM also inaugurated the “Deendyal Upadhyay Kisan Yojna” and distributed the cheques of approved loans among the farmers too. He also distributed the Devbhoomi Uttarakhand Khel Ratna Award and Devbhoomi Uttarakhand Droncharya Award for the year 2016-17.
Congratulating the people of the State on the 17th anniversary of State Foundation CM Rawat said that State Government was making efforts to double the income of the farmers. Farmers are being provided loans at lower interest rate. Rs 1 lakh loan at the interest rate of 2 percent is being provided to the small and marginal farmers under Deendyal Upadhyaya Kisaan Kalyaan Yojna. He hoped that farmers will be benefitted through the initiative. Chief Minister said that State Government is committed to develop the State as per the vision of state agitators. Chief Minister paid homage to the state agitators. Decision has been taken to implement Nursery Act. Land consolidation process will be done considering the small and scattered farm land in hilly regions. Subsidy will be transferred into the accounts of farmers directly through DBT. Telemedicine and Tele radiology has been started. ICU will be set up in every district hospital.
The target has been set up to make State ODF in urban area by March 2018 along with providing house to every homeless family by 2022. CM thanked the Prime Minister for Chardham all weather road. Government is going to provide skill development training to one lakh youths in coming 5 years. Rural Development and Migration Commission has been constituted to address the migration issue. The headquarter of the commission has been set up in Pauri district. CM Monitoring Dashboard is being set up to monitor every department of the Government. “Public Dialogue for Good Governance” has been started. Under the initiative direct interaction with students, teachers, farmers, and industrialists is being done.
He said that 99.6 percent villages have been electrified under the Deendyal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojna. Every family will get electricity by 2019. Government has taken steps for the qualitative improvement of school and higher education. Decision has been taken to integrate the schools having less number of students. NCERT books will be used in all the schools. Educational calendar has been implemented in all the colleges and universities. Land has been selected for NIFT in Dehradun. CPAT classes will be started from January next year. Start-up Policy 2017 has been implemented to promote the micro, small and medium industries in the State.
Khel Ratna Award was given to international cricket player Ekta Bisht while her coach Liyaqat Ali was presented Dronacharya Award. In absence of Ms Ekta Bisht her parents received the Award. Wives of martyrs of eco task force Smt. Chandra Negi wife of late Bikram Singh Negi and Smt. Rajeshwari Devi wife of late Dharam Singh were also felicitated on the occasion.
