Utpal Kumar Singh has joined as new chief secretary of Uttarakhand. Later he met the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat at his office on Wednesday. It is being said that during the meeting CM has apprised him about the state government’s priority.
Although 1986 batch IAS officer Singh has joined as new Chief Secretary of the state but one thing is haunting in everyone’s mind that how scenario changed in the state. Sources said that during PM visit to Kedarnath on October 20 he had expressed displeasure over the slow progress in centrally sponsored scheme and since then CM Rawat had begun his exercise to overhaul the system especially bureaucracy because they execute the government work on ground. With this phenomenal change CM has sent message across the state especially bureaucracy that either you work or be ready to be sidelined.
Ironically PM is coming to Uttarakhand to deliver lecture the trainee IAS at LBS Administrative Academy Mussoorie.
He would also attend the cabinet meeting, which is schedule today. As we know that in state chief secretary is equivalent to the cabinet secretary at centre. It is being said that new chief secretary is very humble and delivery oriented person so his arrival would expedite the development work in the state.
