In view of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly election, where polling is due on November 9, Uttarakhand BJP leaders have been assigned task to canvass for BJP candidates there. It has begun with Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat’s address in Jabbal, where BJP has fielded Narendra Bragatta, today along with other BJP leaders.
Several cabinet ministers including Prakash Pant, Yashpal Arya, Subodh Uniyal and Dr Dhan Singh Rawat have been assigned task to canvass for BJP there by the party high command. All these ministers have taken a tour and would again be pressed into service, said Ajay Bhatt, president of Uttarakhand BJP.
Several party workers have been dispatched to Himachal Pradesh for strengthening the party, They will remain there till November 8, for strengthening the campaign for the BJP candidates, Bhatt added.
Ironically, Uttarakhand Tourism minister Satpal Maharaj will campaign in Gujarat. He was told by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to start campaigning in Gujarat, said Bhatt.
