Uttarakhand’s ranking in Pt Deendayal Antyodaya yojna, which is being implemented for the welfare of the poor people of the country, has improved. As per the national Urban livelihood mission’s (NULM) Uttarakhand has achieved fifth position in the country.
While informing to the media, Secretary Radhika Jha said that Union government is monitoring the project with the help of systematic progressive analytical real time tracking (SPARK). Through this they have recognized uttarakhand’s contribution and upgraded state’s ranking. It has become possible with the implementation of project quality wise and timely utilization of released budget too.
Jha further said that 139 self help group have been constituted and these SHGs are being roped with Indira amma canteen and other employment oriented work. Under skill development cum placement programme we have been imparting training programme for 3525 beneficiaries so far. Even youths are being trained as GST mitra and union government has appreciated our efforts. Meanwhile 1009 beneficieries’ application for bank loan have been forwarded to the bank. To give shelter to urban poor we have constructed five rainbasera (shelter home) and seven are being under constructed. To give security to the hawkers state has constituted town vending committee in 15 cities so far while other committee’s constitution are in progress for other cities of the state.
