BAMS Harrawala campus under Uttarakhand Ayurveda University allocated BHMS and BUMS seats on Monday. For the 605 seats of AYUSH UG’s state quota, only 350 students had registered. Candidates also registered themselves through offline and online registration to All India Ayush Under Graduate Entrance Test (AIA-PGIT).
UAPMT’s Counseling started in the campus of Ayurveda University, Harrawala. There was a slight ruckus in the morning due to mismanagement. The university administration made the matter calm before things got out of hand. Apart from the three campuses of Ayurveda Vidyavati, students also listed Patanjali as their preferred choice . Others show relatively little enthusiasm in private colleges. The seats at Ayurveda University Harrawala, Rishikul and Gurukul premises as well as Patanjli were filled up till late evening.
University Registrar Prof. Anoop Gakhar said that there were about 100 registered students available for the remaining seats. The filling process was also going on. Since the seats are more this year, the university is now planning to cut the cut off of the UAPMT. Now 50 percent was the cutoff for general and cutoff of reserved category was 40 percent. Cutoff will be dropped for second counseling relative to empty seats. Students who have been allotted seats, will have to make admission by filing fees in the concerned college on October 13. The second phase of counseling will be conducted after Diwali.
