New police post to come at Datkali temple; ADGP

In a bid to address the perennial problem of traffic jam at Datkali temple police has decided to establish permanent police post nearby the temple. As we know that the area fall under the jurisdiction of the Mohand police post of Biharigarh police station, Saharanpur of Uttar Pradesh but Uttarakhand police always being blamed by the passerby. In view of this ADGP Law and Order Ashok Kumar today convened a border meeting with his UP counterpart at Saharanpur.

In which they agreed that Saharanpur police will establish a police post equipped with wireless set at Datkali temple and will regulate the traffic in coordination with Asharodi police post of Dehradun. To deal with traffic jam during week-end and holiday they will chalk out advance plan in coordination with mohand, datkali and asha rodi police posts. police will take stringent action against the shopkeeper or improper parked vehicle, which invites traffic jam. NHAI officials has agreed to repair work of road between Saharanpur-Dehradun on priority basis. They also agreed to share the data of criminals, who have been involved in dacaoity, murder, loot, vehicle loot and agreed to conduct verification drive against the person who came from outside the state. In view of increasing number of drug addicts they agreed to conduct effective drive to deal with this menace.

The meeting was attended by DIG Garhwal, Pushpak Jyoti, DIG Saharanpur KS Emanuel, SSP Saharanpur Bablu Kumar, Dehradun SSP Nivedita Kukreti Kumar, SP Traffic Dherenra Gunjyal and NHAI officials.
