Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has inaugurated the Umiya Mata Temple Trust Hospice at Haripur Kalan, Haridwar on Thursday. The program was addressed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conferencing.
In his address Prime Minister Modi said Haridwar a world known shrine where this hospice will be beneficial for the pilgrims coming from across the globe. He appreciated this effort of Gujrati Patidaar community on behalf of Government of India and Uttarakhand Government. India had a culture of religious tourism since ancient times along with setting up inns and hospices for the pilgrims. PM congratulated for keeping the such traditions alive.
State CM Rawat welcomed the people of Gujarat came here. CM expressed happiness over the selection of Uttarakhand for this holy purpose by Maa Umiya Temple Trust. Inaugurating the hospice made for people’s welfare and humanity purpose is a matter of happiness. He also discussed the PM’s Clean India drive which has become a mass campaign now. Later CM also honoured the people who helped the trust financially on the occasion.
