DAINIK NATION BUREAU

In a bid to serve the patients having burn injuries during this year’s Deepawali, the GVK EMRI 108 ambulance service has chalked out an intensive plan to deal with emergency cases and asked their employee to refrain from taking leave on October 19.

The 108 ambulance service state head Manish Tinku said that it has noticed cthat the number of accident cases increase on the day of Deepawali. Their statistics reveal that maximum number of emergency calls is received in between 6pm-9pm on the day of Deepawali.

On the basis of the past experiences we presume that the large number of emergencies calls would come on October 19 too so we have asked our people to refrain from taking leaves.

The data reveals that the ambulance service catered 425 calls on the day of Deepawali in 2013 while the number of cases on the day in the year 2014 was 501 and 497 calls were handled in the year 2015. Ironically they had received mere 380 calls on the day of deepawali-2016.

He further informed that the ambulances will be deployed in the cities of Dehradun, Haridwar, Rudrapur (Udham Singh Nagar) and Haldwani. In Dehradun the ambulances would be stationed at Survey Chowk, Jakhan (Rajpur road), Prem Nagar Chowk, Suri Chowk (race course), Ring Road Chowk (Ladpur), Rispana Bridge and ISBT.
