Don’t lead a completely technological existence; Gov

DAINIK NATION BUREAU

Congratulating the students, teachers and parents of students on the occasion of 17th founder’s day of the Indian Public school, the governor Dr KK Paul said that teachers are preparing our youth to face the challenges of a developing nation. We must remember that we have to compete with the best minds in the world. Our emotional intelligence can help us to become successful in these days. Though IQ is important, Emotional Quotient is even more important. Do not lead a completely technological existence. It was appreciable the Indian Public School was including the important traditions of the ancient Gurukul system of learning along with modern education.

We must maintain a balance between our online activity and personal interaction (face to face) which is away from the virtual world. Abundance of information is available today on the internet but how the students should use it has to be guided by the teachers. We must also learn to distinguish genuine information from the fake one.

The innovation can lead one to success in today’s world .To develop wisdom and new ideas , children need to read good books which will develop their personality.

In this context , Dr Paul referred to Swami Vivekananda’s view that education is not just what can acquire from text books but it is also  an understanding of the changes taking place in the world.

Rajya Sabha MP and chairman of the school RK Sinha, Principal of the school, teachers , students and parents were present on the occasion.
