The BJP ticket seeker will have wait for one more day because Central Election Committee (CEC), which had conducted their meeting to finalise candidates for 68 seats of Himachal Pradesh assembly where election is scheduled on November 9, could not finailse the name till midnight today. Now they would sit together again on Sunday. sources said that they are waiting because few more congress leaders may join BJP in coming days.
This delay has made ticket seekers more impatient because there are inkling that some congress ministers & MLA might join BJP and if this happens then they would lose their seat especially whosoever seeking ticket from the congress dominated assembly constituencies of the state. As per the BJP set norms that wherever they are lacking candidate where they are doing everything to lure the opposition candidate. Source said the meeting was scheduled at early evening but delayed due to PM’s arrival.
