28 teachers selected for gov teachers award

TO honour the teachers on the teachers day Uttarakhadn Governor Dr KK Paul is going to honour 28 teachers, who have done commendable job in their respective schools, with ‘governors teachers award’ on Tuesday. He has also greeted all teachers on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. In which two teachers from each districts have been selected for this award and two Sanskrit teachers have also selected. He has called upon teachers to impart value-based education.

Paying tributes to former president, Bharat Ratna Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, he said that Dr Radhakrishnan was a great educationist, philosopher, thinker, orator and humanist.

He said that teachers’ day, celebrated on the occasion of the birth day of Dr.Radhakrishnan, gave us the opportunity to express our gratitude towards our teachers. “Teachers shape our society by helping students become good citizens of the nation. Thus teachers make a great contribution in nation building.”
