Uttarakhand Government to challenge Nainital HC order

Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat yesterday said that the state government would approach the Supreme Court against HC’s decision barring Arts stream students from being appointed as ANMs. Addressing media persons at Janta Durbar here today Rawat said, “We will approach the Supreme court, against the High Court’s decision to bar students from Arts background, who have cleared the ANM examination, from getting appointment.” He said the rules were tinkered by the previous government and students should not suffer. The CM said complaints pertaining to construction of roads had declined as they were solved at the district level, adding that number of application for transfers had increased. The CM will hold a meeting with investors in Nagpur tomorrow.

He also clarified that the Cabinet had not given approval for the construction of Lakhwar Beasi hydel project.
