The Uttarakhand government on late Tuesday evening gave approval to formation of Dehradun Smart City Limited Company as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to look into the implementation of the ambitious project.
The government order in this regard was issued on Tuesday evening.
As per the GO released by Radhika Jha, secretary to CM Trivendra Singh Rawat, there would a chairman and four director in the initial phase.
Garhwal commissiner would head the Dehradun Smart City Limited Company, which would have Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority VC, additional Secretary urban development, additional director of Urban Development and Commissioner Nagar Nigam as Directors.
As per the GO, the number of directors can go up to 14. The location for the office of the company would be finalsed by Commissioner Garhwal. Few days back, Dilip Jawalkar had been made commmissioner Garhwal.
