DAINIK NATION BUREAU

-To mark the National Sports Day on Tuesday, the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat flagged off the rally ‘Run for Uttarakhand’ at Gandhi Park. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that the day being observed to honour the hockey legend  Dhyan Chand on his birth anniversary, he was happy to see both the youngsters and the elderly participating in the run with equal enthusiasm. “We would run for the development of the state in the coming days,” he said.  He reminded the people that the state is privileged to host  ‘National Games 2018’. “Things have started for the upcoming event from this run.  More would be held to enthuse the sports talents from the state. We hope they would come at the top of the national games’ medal tally.   Stadiums are being prepared for it. We are also working out plans to hone the sports talent lurking in the children of the state,” CM said.
