A startling case has emerged from Bulandshahr Uttar Pradesh where a daughter-in-law is having romantic feelings for her own mother-in-law. This has put family into embarrassment. The matter has now caught the attention of law enforcement authorities, who are busy in collecting the details of the case.
The incident came to light when a woman from Bhajanpura, Delhi, accompanied by her son, approached the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) on Saturday. Narrating her ordeal, the woman revealed that her son had married a girl from a village in Bulandshahr two years ago.
Trouble began brewing in the marital relationship when the daughter-in-law allegedly started distancing herself from her husband shortly after marriage. However, the situation took a bewildering turn when the daughter-in-law expressed romantic feelings towards her mother-in-law, shocking the entire family.
According to the aggrieved mother-in-law, the daughter-in-law insisted on engaging in homosexual relations with her and threatened dire consequences if her demands were not met. The daughter-in-law purportedly cited instances of gay marriages to justify her desires and even went to the extent of threatening to falsely implicate her husband in a rape case if her wishes were not adhered to.
The distressed mother-in-law further alleges that the daughter-in-law’s parents brushed off the matter, displaying indifference towards the gravity of the situation. Adding to the ordeal, the daughter-in-law purportedly resorted to coercion and even threatened to drug her mother-in-law.
In a bid to sever ties with the daughter-in-law and put an end to the distressing ordeal, the mother-in-law approached the authorities seeking intervention. However, she encountered further dismay when the daughter-in-law’s family demanded a hefty sum of Rs 20 lakh to consider breaking the marital alliance.
Sunita Malik, the officer in charge of the women’s cell, acknowledged the seriousness of the complaint and assured that necessary steps would be taken to investigate and resolve the matter. However, she was unavailable for further comment as she was on VIP duty at the time.
As the investigation unfolds, residents of Bulandshahr remain gripped by the shocking revelations, highlighting the complexities and challenges associated with familial relationships in contemporary society.
