Union Home Minister Amit Shah openly praised Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for his dedication to the state’s development and also shared his proactive approach to governance. Praising to CM Dhami Shah said that whenever Dhami visits Delhi, he arrives with a comprehensive list of demands for the state. Amit Shah particularly lauded Dhami for being the first to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Uttarakhand among all states in India.
Speaking at the ‘Vijay Sankalp Rally’ in support of BJP candidate Anil Baluni in Kotdwar under Garhwal Lok Sabha, Shah expressed his admiration, stating, “I congratulate CM Dhami. Under his leadership, Uttarakhand has taken the lead in implementing the UCC, setting an example for the rest of the country.” He highlighted the longstanding demand of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh for the UCC and praised Dhami for realizing this vision in Uttarakhand.
Amit Shah also commended CM Dhami for his efforts to promote local products, especially those from the Pahari region. He mentioned that under PM Modi’s leadership, Dhami has successfully showcased Uttarakhand’s millets to the global market. Shah emphasized Dhami’s dedication to ensuring that all welfare schemes initiated by the Modi government reach every household in Uttarakhand, making the state a frontrunner in implementing these initiatives.
This isn’t the first time a prominent leader has lauded Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Previously, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President JP Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have all praised Dhami’s leadership.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh recently described CM Dhami as a versatile and competent politician, highlighting his proficiency across various domains. Dhami is recognized as an ideal Chief Minister material due to his effective coordination between the state government and the organization. Under his guidance, the state has made significant strides in alignment with the central government’s initiatives. Dhami personally oversees the implementation of PM Modi’s welfare schemes to ensure their effective delivery to eligible beneficiaries in Uttarakhand.
