BJP promises “one nation, one poll” and Ramayan festivals in global focus

The Bharatiya Janata Party has unveiled its highly anticipated manifesto, titled “Sankalp Patra,” on April 14. Coincidently they have unveiled the manifesto on the birth anniversary of Dr. BR Ambedkar, a key architect of the Indian Constitution.

The party’s manifesto release comes ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, which are scheduled to be conducted in seven phases starting from April 19. The BJP revealed that they received an overwhelming response, with more than 1.5 million suggestions for the manifesto. This included over 400,000 suggestions through the NaMo app and over 1.1 million through videos.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally introduced the manifesto, highlighting its focus on the welfare of the poor, youth, farmers, and women. He emphasized the BJP’s track record of fulfilling promises made in previous manifestos, stating, “In the last 10 years, BJP has implemented every aspect of its manifesto as a guarantee. BJP has restored the sanctity of the manifesto.”

The manifesto’s key highlights include the proposal for a Uniform Civil Code (UCC), a significant boost to infrastructure development, and the introduction of a 100-day action plan.

Additionally, the BJP’s manifesto outlines plans for initiatives such as “one nation, one poll” for synchronized elections, the creation of common electoral rolls, elimination of waiting lists for train travel, expansion of 5G networks, and the organization of Ramayan festivals worldwide.

The release of the Sankalp Patra marks the BJP’s commitment to addressing various sectors and concerns, promising a comprehensive vision for the nation’s progress and development.
