Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated his campaign slogan ‘Abki baar, 400 paar’ in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand on Tuesday. He has promised the residents free electricity in the upcoming term. He also accused the Congress party of having an “emergency-era” mentality and attempting to incite the public against the government.
PM Modi’s election campaign made its way to ‘Devbhoomi’ Uttarakhand on Tuesday, where he addressed a large crowd in Rudrapur following his recent campaigning in Uttar Pradesh. He is also scheduled to hold a rally in Rajasthan ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections later this month.

PM Modi highlighted the achievements of his government over the past decade, referring to it as a “trailer” for the upcoming term. He mentioned various schemes that have benefited the people and pledged to boost sectors like tourism and agriculture to generate more employment for the youth.
The Prime Minister announced the ‘PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme’, promising 24 hours of electricity, zero electricity bills, and opportunities to earn money from electricity in Uttarakhand.
Criticizing the Congress party, Modi accused them of having an “emergency-era” mentality and losing faith in democracy. He claimed that the Congress and opposition coalition have shown their intentions to incite unrest if the BJP government is elected for the third time.
PM Modi also accused the Congress of promoting division in the country and practicing appeasement politics. He praised the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) for providing Indian citizenship to those who believe in ‘Maa Bharati’.
Talking about the One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme, PM Modi highlighted its benefits for former soldiers and their families. He mentioned that families of soldiers across the country have received over Rs 1 lakh crore under OROP, with thousands of families in Uttarakhand also benefiting.
Additionally, PM Modi mentioned the controversial issue of Katchatheevu island, which he accused the Congress of ‘giving away’ to Sri Lanka. He also highlighted the construction of the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, enabling Sikhs in the country to visit Guru Nanak Ji’s birthplace in Pakistan.
