Panchmukhi Doli embarks on spiritual journey to Kedarnath Dham amidst grand send-off

Lord Shri Kedarnath Panchmukhi Doli yatra began amidst the chanting of Om Namah Shivay from the Panchkedar Gaddi Sthal at Shri Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath today. The devotional tunes played by the 6 Grenadier Regiment of the Army band. Thousands of devotees gathered to witness the auspicious departure of the revered idol.

Adorned with more than 10 quintals of flowers, Shri Omkareshwar Temple was transformed into a spectacle of divine beauty, thanks to the efforts of the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) and generous donors.

State Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, with a special focus on streamlining arrangements for the Chardham Yatra, sent a team of three hundred volunteers from Dehradun to Shri Omkareshwar Temple Ukhimath to accompany the Doli Yatra. The volunteers, part of the Chief Sevak Bhandara program, are tasked with ensuring smooth arrangements for drinking water along the route.

BKTC President Ajendra Ajay extended warm wishes to all devotees on the occasion of the Panchmukhi Doli’s departure, emphasizing the significance of the journey. BKTC Chief Executive Officer Yogendra Singh reassured devotees that preparations for the Kedarnath Yatra are underway at the temple committee level.

The Panchmukhi Doli, en route to its first stop at Shri Vishwanath Temple in Guptkashi, will receive a grand welcome with showers of flowers in various locations including Sansari, Vidyapeeth, and Guptkashi market. Yesterday, the worship of Bhairav Nath ji was solemnly concluded at Shri Omkareshwar Temple, marking the commencement of the spiritual journey.

As the sacred Doli embarks on its pilgrimage, devotees express their heartfelt prayers and wishes for a safe and blessed journey ahead, seeking the divine blessings of Lord Kedarnath for themselves and their loved ones.
