Amid bone-chilling weather UK artists performing in slipper?

Amid bone chilling weather our brave Artists, who have gone to showcase Uttarakhand in upcoming Republic day parade-2019, has been performing cultural dance with broad smile in Delhi. During the month of January Delhi shivers and people keep their toe in shoes but artists are showcasing state by wearing slipper. As if state wants to showcase real picture to the world. Does it mean, state can’t afford the expense of few dozen shoes of these hapless artists. Do they want to showcase state’s penury by these artists? Reason may be anything but it shows how our government is sincere to showcase rosy picture before the nation and abroad. This is going to happen in the presence of our beloved Prime Minister Narendra Modi and South African President  Cyril Ramaphosa during Republic day parade. As we know that through this we showcase to the world our prowess and prosperity.

In this year Republic Day celebration, Uttarakhand government is showcasing Anashakti Ashram at Rajpath. Kausani situated in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand was described by Mahatama Gandhi as ‘Switzerland of India’, is a peaceful place. Mahatama Gandhi had visited Kausani in 1929 and wrote the preface of his famous book “Anasakti yog’ at this very place. The Ashram is run by Gandhi Samarak Nidhi. Prayers meetings are held in the mornings and evenings and the ashrams’ library and reading room is being developed as a training centre. In this ashram, book related to Gandhian philosophy are available for researchers, intellectuals and tourists.

The front part of the Uttarakhand tableau shows Mahatama Gandhi writing ‘Anasakti Yog’ while the middle section shows the Anasakti Ashram having tourists and people doing yoga and reading and Mahatama Gandhi in conversation with Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant. The background of the tableau is having Devdar trees, local residents and tall mountain ranges. On the side panels, the cultural heritage of Uttarakhand namely Jageshwar Dham, Badrinath and Kedarnath temples are shown

As per the state culture department team leader K.S.Chauhan “the nation is celebrating the 150th anniversary of Mahatama Gandhi this year and the theme of all the tableaus participating in the Republic Day celebrations at Rajpath is based on “Mahatama Gandhi’s life philosophy ’.
