In order to provide jobs on the spot to the unemployed youths who have passed BTech on various courses, Employment Fair (Rojgar Mela) will be held at the regional employment office in Dehradun, said the regional employment officer Ravinath Raman.
He further informed that the fair will be held under the aegis of employment office and Telecom- Network Solution (TNS) Private Limited based in Noida. Youths who have passed BTech (electronic and communication, information and technology, electrical and electronic, computer science, electronic and instrumentation engineering) in the year 2015-2016 are eligible to take to the interview for the posts of the graduate engineering trainees.
Candidates who have scored more than 60 per cent marks in their Class-X, Class-XII and BTeach are eligible for appearing in the interview, Raman informed. Selected candidates will be given 50 days’ special training, though they will not be given salary during the training period. However, the selected candidates will be given Rs 16, 000 monthly as stipend and transportation allowance. Besides, Rs 10,000 will be reimbursed one time for the training period, DM said. Their interview will start at 11 am on March 17 and the same would follow on March 18 too. Regular seats on above posts are 30 while 30 are in the category of the temporary posts. The candidates should carry their educational certificates, character certificates, Aadhar cards and voter cards to appear in the interview, DM said, adding that the Rojgar Mela would prove instrumental in providing jobs to the unemployed youth of the state.
