Reacting to the chief minister Harish Rawat’s allegation that the Bharatiya Janata Party had spent Rs 2000 crore in this assembly election, state BJP demanded the ruling party to disclose how much money they had given to the poll strategist Prashant Kishor (PK) it hired for leading its electioneering in the state.
BJP State in-charge Devendra Bhasin said that aware of the party ship having sunk, Congress engaged PK for a staggering amount by way of clutching at straws. “CM’s allegation of BJP pumping in billions to woo voters smacks of the party’s frustration,” he said, adding that Congress had done the same in managing liquor and cash to lure the voters.
He further said that his party would submit the details of how much it spent during electioneering to the election commission.
