Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has distributed appointment letters to 1,035 assistant teachers (primary education), including 17 special education teachers, at a program held at Government Doon Medical College, Patel Nagar on Wednesday.

Congratulating the newly appointed teachers, the Chief Minister said they now carry the important responsibility of shaping the future of Uttarakhand. He has also expressed confidence that the young teachers would play a crucial role in improving the quality of education in the state. Emphasizing the importance of value-based education, he said that when children receive quality education rooted in values, they not only improve their own lives but also contribute to the progress of society and the nation. “Teachers are the architects of the country’s bright future,” he added.

The Chief Minister urged teachers to go beyond classroom teaching and instill in students a sense of duty towards society, culture, and the nation, so that they grow into responsible and cultured citizens. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is consistently working to modernize the education system and enhance its quality. Reforms are being implemented at every level, including strengthening school infrastructure, promoting digital education, teacher training, and skill development.

Highlighting the government’s focus on employment, CM Dhami said that in the last four and a half years, more than 28,000 youth have been provided government jobs in Uttarakhand. He described this achievement as a matter of self-respect for the youth, noting that the number of jobs given during this period is more than double those provided since the formation of the state under previous governments. He asserted that the government would not allow anyone to compromise with the future of the youth.

Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that over the past four and a half years, more than 11,500 appointments have been made in the education department. He informed that recruitment for over 3,500 posts is currently underway and that special emphasis is being placed on innovation in education across the state.
