Taking cognizance of allegations and viral audio clips involving former BJP MLA Suresh Rathore and his wife Urmila Rathore, BJP National General Secretary Dushyant Kumar Gautam has written to the Home Secretary, demanding action in the matter. Gautam has also issued a video statement terming the entire episode a “criminal conspiracy” and calling for a thorough investigation to ascertain the facts.
The controversy erupted after an audio clip went viral on social media, purportedly featuring a mobile phone conversation between former BJP MLA Suresh Rathore and a woman identified as Urmila, followed by a public dispute between the two. The clip has been widely circulated and has triggered political reactions and counter-allegations.
In his communication to the Home Secretary, Gautam alleged that the viral content is part of a deliberate attempt to defame and malign individuals through manipulated or misleading material circulated on social media platforms. He urged the authorities to examine the origin, authenticity and intent behind the audio clips and to take strict action against those found responsible.
In his video statement, Gautam described the episode as a “criminal conspiracy” aimed at spreading misinformation and creating unnecessary controversy. He stressed the need for an impartial and comprehensive investigation so that the truth could come out and accountability could be fixed.
The BJP leader’s intervention comes amid growing debate and conflicting claims over the authenticity of the audio clip, further intensifying the political controversy surrounding the issue.
