Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Uttarakhand on November 9, on the occasion of the state’s 26th Foundation Day. This will be Prime Minister Modi’s 20th official visit to Uttarakhand since he assumed office in 2014, making him the first Prime Minister to visit any hill state so frequently. His continued engagement with the state highlights his affection, faith, and commitment to its development and prosperity.
The visit will also mark PM Modi’s 11th trip to the state during Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s tenure. CM Dhami, who shares good working relationship with the Prime Minister, has said that PM Modi has always readily accepted invitations to visit Uttarakhand, reflecting his deep concern for the state’s growth and welfare.
Over the years, PM Modi’s association with Uttarakhand has gone beyond politics. His devotion to Lord Kedarnath and his visits to spiritual sites such as Adi Kailash and Mukhba, the winter abode of Maa Ganga, have further strengthened the state’s identity as a divine and safe pilgrimage destination.
As the state celebrates 25 years of its formation, PM Modi’s presence is expected to infuse new energy and enthusiasm among the people. The Silver Jubilee celebrations are being organized with great fervour, with the state government making elaborate arrangements to make the event memorable.
