The three-day-long Jod Mela at Gurdwara Shri Reetha Sahib in Champawat began with deep devotion, service, and spiritual discipline, inspired by the divine teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The sacred event draws devotees from across the region who gather to offer prayers, perform sewa (selfless service), and immerse themselves in the serene atmosphere of this revered pilgrimage site.
Under the proactive leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state administration has ensured that all arrangements are in place for the smooth conduct of the Mela. SDM Nitesh Dagar, while inspecting the site, stated that the event is being managed efficiently, following the Chief Minister’s clear instructions to ensure a peaceful, safe, and well-organized religious gathering.
Facilities related to crowd management, sanitation, health services, drinking water, and security have been strengthened to accommodate the large number of devotees expected during the three-day festival. The spiritual energy and organized conduct of the event reflect the commitment of the Dhami government to preserving Uttarakhand’s religious and cultural heritage while prioritizing the comfort and safety of pilgrims. The Jod Mela continues to be a vibrant symbol of Sikh devotion and community spirit in the Himalayan state.
