Three persons were successfully rescued after their vehicle plunged into a deep gorge on the Glogi-Dehradun Road. The incident occurred around midnight, prompting an immediate response from emergency services. This has been told by Uttarakhand Police on Thursday.
Acting on the information of the accident, a joint rescue operation was launched by Fire Unit Mussoorie, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and Kotwali Mussoorie. The operation continued for several hours under challenging conditions, including darkness and difficult terrain.
The vehicle had fallen into a deep valley, make the rescue effort both time-consuming and dangerous. However, due to the coordinated and tireless efforts of the rescue teams, all three occupants of the vehicle were safely retrieved from the wreckage.
After being rescued, the injured individuals were immediately rushed to the nearest hospital for medical treatment. Their current condition is reported to be stable, though further medical evaluation is ongoing.
Officials praised the swift action and cooperation between the various emergency units, crediting their teamwork for preventing what could have been a far more tragic outcome. An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
