The state-level celebration of the 11th International Day of Yoga will be held at the Bhararisain Vidhan Sabha Complex in Chamoli district on June 21, 2025. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will lead the event, joined by ambassadors from 10 countries and over 1,000 yoga enthusiasts.

Dr. Vijay Kumar Jogdande, Director of Ayurvedic and Unani Services, stated that International Yoga Day will once again be celebrated on a grand scale across Uttarakhand. The main event in Bhararisain will serve as the centerpiece of these celebrations. All dignitaries, including the Chief Minister and foreign ambassadors, are expected to arrive by the afternoon of June 20.

Extensive preparations are underway for the landmark event, which aims to promote yoga as a pillar of holistic health and well-being. Simultaneously, yoga sessions and awareness campaigns will be held across all districts of the state to mark the occasion.

“India has given the world the mantra of health and well-being through yoga,” said Chief Minister Dhami. “Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated the celebration of International Yoga Day on June 21 to carry this message to the global stage. In that spirit, Uttarakhand will proudly host the state-level celebration in Bhararisain.”

With its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty, Bhararisain is set to become the spiritual epicenter of yoga celebrations in Uttarakhand this year.
