A case registered against an owner of the news portal for allegedly spreading misinformation and tarnishing the image of the Uttarakhand and its sports department. The complaint lodged by Rajesh Mamagai, a technician at Balaji Pratap Sports College, claims that the portal published misleading content regarding the ongoing 38th National Games.

On 05/02/2025, the portal allegedly shared a post on social media with the logo of the National Games and an image of the Chief Minister. The post carried the title, “Game of finishing and jewelry in the National Games being held in Uttarakhand, medals going in lakhs,” suggesting inflated costs of the medals. This content, as per the complaint, was shared widely, leading to public criticism of the state’s sports administration.

The post reportedly offended the sentiments of players and supporters, while also harming the reputation of the Sports Department. Following the complaint, a case under Section 353(2) of the Indian Penal Code was registered at the Rampur Police Station against the portal’s operators. Authorities are investigating the matter to determine the source and intent behind the post.
