Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami campaigned in Delhi’s R.K. Puram constituency in support of BJP candidate Anil Sharma for the upcoming assembly elections. Reiterating BJP’s commitment to development and cultural preservation, Dhami urged voters to support the party for a “double engine government” in Delhi.
Addressing a public gathering, Dhami said, “We have done everything possible to maintain cultural values in Devbhoomi and have taken strong action against opponents of Sanatan values by implementing a robust anti-conversion law. Misdeeds like spit jihad were handled strictly, sending a clear message that there is no place for such acts in Devbhoomi.”
The Chief Minister also emphasized the BJP’s fulfillment of promises under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. “In Uttarakhand, we implemented the Uniform Civil Code as promised during the elections. Today, the state is progressing rapidly under the double engine government,” he said.
Taking a dig at the opposition, Dhami accused AAP and Congress of corruption and appeasement politics. “AAP has become the brand ambassador of scams, surpassing even Congress. Their promise to clean the Yamuna and make it like the Thames was a blatant lie. Under Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership, they have ruined the Yamuna,” he alleged.
Dhami further claimed that AAP and Congress have a secret agreement to sustain their “black game of corruption and appeasement.” Urging the public to vote for BJP, he said, “On February 5, vote for Anil Sharma to ensure his resounding victory and establish new dimensions of development in Delhi under a double engine government.”
The rally was attended by BJP leaders and supporters, with Dhami expressing confidence in BJP’s triumph in the Delhi elections.
