Dead body of murdered woman found on Nainital-Haldwani highway

After killing a young woman in Nainital in Uttarakhand, the body was thrown near Nalena-Aampadav on the Haldwani-Nainital National Highway. On Monday evening, the police officer, including the SSP, reached the spot on the information of finding the body of the victim.

According to SSP Sunil Kumar Meena, the murder of the woman seems to have been done by strangling her throat. After the initial investigation the body was sent to Nainital for postmortem.

On Monday evening, a taxi driver informed the police that a corpse was lying near the ditch in the National Highway between Nalana and Aampadav. The police immediately informed the high officials. CO Vijay Thapa reached the spot with the team. Later, the SSP also came to the spot and investigated thematter.

SSP Meena and CO Thapa told that the woman is between 20 and 25 years of age. She is wearing purple kurti and yellow salwar.

Meena said that it looks like she has disposed her body after pressing the woman’s throat. Seeing the marks on the body it is also believed that the woman’s body was thrown out of a moving vehicle. The police is busy trying to trace the vehicles passing through the CCTV footage.
