PHD to invest Rs 25 lakh in strat up

PHD Angels Club Uttarakhand in collaboration with German partner Konrad Adenauer Stiftung  organised a program here in Dehradun. They activated its functioning by committing Rs. 25 lakh in a Start Up company, M/s ADCOUNT Technologies P Ltd. It is co founded by an IIT engineer Kushang. It is a B2B brand ADURCUP providing innovative tech driven and AI enabled solutions to the restaurants value chain.

The Director of PHD Chamber Anil Taneja told that the consortium of Angels Club chaired by Verendra Kalra (CA) who is also chairman of Uttarakhand State Chapter of PHD Chamber, committed an investment from Uttarakhand Angel Investors which included Rs. 3 Lac by Kalra himself. Dr. Apoorva Ranjan Sharma one of the founding fathers of the Start Up Eco system in India came to the program for a master class session for the PHD Angel club members. He from his company Venture Catalysts along with his partner Neeraj Tyagi committed an investment of Rs.15 lac. to this Start Up. PHD Chamber and Venture catalysts have partnered in the state for the promotion of Start UP Eco system in the state.  PHD Chamber has plans to conduct series of  unique entrepreneurship development programs in the state with an objective to bring forth the local and national enterprise investment opportunities to the door steps of Uttarakhand Start Up Eco system. These mostly innovation and technology driven opportunities have the potential of relatively very high value returns.  The most trusted partners of PHD Chamber would present these filtered investment opportunities which are offered after due diligence of the well nurtured & most promising enterprises. Mr. Nitesh Kaushik who is co Chairman of the start Up task force of PHD Chamber in the state is working closely with the local start ups which are registered with Uttarakhand State Chapter of PHD Chamber. The Start Up task force is counselling, mentoring, incubating and providing networking opportunities to these start ups.    

According to Kalra, India is a growing ecosystem for new entrepreneurs and Uttarakhand being one of the top ranking state on literacy parameter, backed by presence of number of educational institutions is a very promising state for Start Up Eco system to grow. Dr Apoorva Ranjan Sharma stated that as our country’s Start Up eco system stands tall with one of the top five ecosystems in the world there is lot of scope for Start Ups.  Mr. Anil Taneja stated that Tech driven entrepreneurs backed by demographic dividend of the country provides a unique global standing for our entrepreneurial endeavours.

He informed that PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry – State Chapter of Uttarakhand has championed the Start Up Eco System development process in the state and is organizing series of programs for creating an enabling environment. The panel of speakers included Mentor chairman of PHD Chamber Uttarakhand SP Kochhar, Tushar Agarwal who is Block Chain Technology expert operating from Singapore, but hails from Dehradun, Dr. Ajit Nigam Co Chairman for the PHD Start Up Task Force (Angels club) . Dr. Nigam addressed the Startups who participated. These start Ups are from State only which are either having a minimum viable product or are already have registered sales.
