Holding a meeting with district and block level officers to review the various developmental projects at collectorate hall on Saturday, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat instructed the officers to work with complete transparency in implementing the projects. He asked the officials to start the projects on time and ensure that they are completed on time so that the people could benefit from these projects.
Chief Minister said that the priority of his government is to complete the projects with transparency on time. He instructed the officers and employees to work with dedication and honesty. He said that if the developmental projects are started on time, these are completed with much less cost and the people also reap its benefits.
Chief Minister said that as per the aspirations of the statehood formation , the recently concluded ‘Investors Summit’ at Dehradun was meant for the development of the far flung areas.
He said that investors in large number have submitted their proposals for development in the remote areas. Focussing on agriculture and horticulture, he said that investments in these fields every year will bring benefits. He instructed the officers to work with dedication for the development of the remote areas.
Reviewing the works of health and family welfare, CM instructed them to hold camps to make Health insurance cards of all the beneficiaries under the ‘Ayushman Bharat’ scheme.he also assured the problems of 108 ambulance vehicles will be sorted out. He also called upon the officers to take innovative steps to bring in qualitative improvement in the standards of primary education and basic facilities in the government schools.
He also asked the PWD officials to make alternate arrangements in view of the losses suffered by the farmers in bring ing their cash crops to the markets following damage to the Lohajang-Vaan road closed due to natural disaster. On the issue of several roads of the district not under RTO leading to denial of compensation to the victims of road accidents on such roads, he instructed the RTO and construction agencies of such roads to sort the issue with DM. He also instructed the Executive Engineer of Power department to provide electricity connections to people residing in far off places under ‘Saubhagya’ Scheme. Gram pardhans and officers should make the people aware and hold camps to provide electricity connection to each and every home.
Stressing on adopting cluster based agriculture, he instructed the agriculture and horticulture department officials to make more and more clusters in the district.he said that the government is committed to double the farmers income by 2020. Farmers should be trained in rose cultivation and valley should be developed as a rose valley so that the farmers could get good results after selling rose oil. More over tourists could be attracted to visit the rose valley in turn benefitting the local population. Similarly, he asked the forest department officials to develop a green valley by adopting plantations.
Chief Minister also reviewed the working of Aajivika Sahyog scheme, PM Urban Housing scheme, Food and Supplies, social welfare, Fisheries, Jal Nigam, Jal Sansthan, Irrigation, minor irrigation and the developmental projects run by these departments. He also released the MNREGA developmental booklet of the district on the occasion.
District Magistrate Swati Bhadoria welcoming the Chief Minister said that his instructions would be followed in latter and spirit. She also presented ‘Panchbadri Prasad’ and memento prepared by self-help groups to the Chief Minister.
Karanprayag Legislator Surinder Singh Negi, Tharali legislator Munni Devi Shah, district and block level officers were present in the meeting.
