State can’t grow without economic development

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said that like Prithvi Shaw of Indian cricket started his career by scoring a century, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has started the development of Uttarakhand in an amazing way.

Singh said that economy is the backbone of any country or state and to make it strong there is need for investments. Uttarakhand has ample natural and human resources with a stable government. The important factor in investment is better law and order situation and from this point of view Uttarakhand is an ideal state, he said.

 The Union minister said that there are vast opportunities for tourism, aroma, yoga, ayush and wellness in the state and people from across the world can come here. Prime Minister has rightly called it Spiritual Eco Zone as there is special spiritual vibration in the atmosphere of the state. The people of Uttarakhand have large hearts and having large hearts indicates spiritual. He hoped that the efforts of the state government will start the trend of reverse migration.

Union minister said that in the past years many starutural changes are made in the economy of the country and hoped that by 2030 India would be amongst the first three economies of the world. He said that India has the largest diversity of economic opportunities and GST will be a blessing for the country.

Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the response of industrialist and investors during the Investors Summit was more than expected. A total of 601 MOUs worth Rs, 1,20,150 crore were signed and more investment proposals are lined up this month. He said that a launch pad for the development of Uttarakhand has been prepared by the summit and the state will be in different format by 2025. He hoped that Uttarakhand will be prosperous state as per the aspirations of the martyrs of the statehood agitation.

 Chief Minister said that the summit was held under the guidance of Prime Minister and the central government extended full support. He also thanked the country partners Japan and Czech Republic ambassadors. He also thanked the Information and Broadcasting Minister of Singapore. He also thanked the industrialist and investors who participated in the summit and also congratulated the officers and employees associated with the successful conduct of the summit.

 Uttarakhand Finance Minister Prakash Pant said that former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had not only created Uttarakhand but also gave it the special state status along with special industrial package. Now, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the State Government has organized the Investors Summit and has prepared the ground for the industrial development. The environment we are creating for capital investment cannot be found anywhere else.

Chairman  of Rasna Pvt Ltd Piruz Khambatta said that Chief Minister has attracted investors like a magnet. He said that the manner in which the government showcased features of the state during the road show in Ahmedabad, we felt that if the investors did not join the summit, it will be a huge loss. He said that what was more important is that the suggestions given regarding the policies were worked out and ten new policies were framed by the Uttarakhand government. Some of these policies are not even in Maharashtra and Gujarat. He said that there are many possibilities of food processing in Uttarakhand. The earnings of farmers here can be increased by Aroma. Aroma can get recognition as scent of Uttarakhand.

Sunil Vachani of Dixon Technologies emphasized the need to pay attention to the electronics sector and said that the time has come for entrepreneurs to come forward for investment in Utrakhkhand. Amity University Chancellor Dr. Aseem Chauhan expressed his desire to work in areas of school education, skill development and research in the state. MD of BHEL Anil Sobti said that BHEL had a deep connect with Uttarakhand. The policy framework, excellent connectivity, adequate skills, rich culture, political will encourage investment. Sachit Jain of CII said that Uttarakhand is the first state, where such an Investors Summit has been organized.

Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh, DGP Anil K Raturi, Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Principal Secretary Shmt. Manisha Panwar, Commissioner Industries Shmt. Soujanya among others were present in the programme.

On this occasion, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat released the book “Kedarnath se Sakshatkar” written by Manjeet Negi.
