A total of Rs. 630 crore worth of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU’s) were signed for production in Aroma sector in the presence of Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on Monday. Chief Minister said that there are immense opportunities in aroma sector in the state. There is positive response from the industry for ‘Investors Summit’. An aroma policy has been formulated and through aroma, employment opportunities for people living in the hilly areas could be generated.
Three MOU’s under the aroma park policy were signed at a programme organized at Chief Minister’s residence on Monday. The first MOU was signed by the state government with Ms. Essential Oils Association of India between CAP, Director Dr. Nripendra Chauhan and President of Ms. Essential Oils Association of India A.K. Jain. The firm will invest Rs 500 crore in Uttarakhand which will generate employment for 11,000 people directly or indirectly. The distillation and extraction of essential oil will be done from aromatic produce. The firm will produce perfume, flavor, Dhoop, Agarbati deodorant, production of different aromatic products and its designing, flavoured tea, aroma candles, handmade soaps and aroma therapy products.
Ms. Sugandh Vyapar Sangh signed a MOU with state government with a proposal to invest Rs 50 crore. Under the MOU, the firm will produce fragrance, flavor, aroma organ and perfumed oil. From state government CAP ,Director, Dr. Nripendra Chauhan and President of Ms. Sugandh Vyapar Sangh Rohit Seth signed the MOU.
Under the MOU signed with Ms. Rusan Pharma Limited, the firm will invest Rs. 80 crore to produce aromatic products and extraction of perfumed oil. From state government, CAP, Director, Dr. Nripendra Chauhan and Managing Director of Ms. Rusan Pharma Limited Dr. Kunal Saxena signed the MOU.
Industrial advisor to Chief Minister KS Panwar,Secretary R Meenakshi Sundram, Additional Secretary Dr. Meharban Singh Bisht and representatives of firms were present on the occasion.
