“Who offered water to Hardik Patel during fast”- question asked in Gujarat clerical exam

Candidates participating in a competition examination held on Sunday for the clerical posts in Gandhinagar Municipal Council in Gujarat were asked questions related to Patidar leader Hardik Patel.

The 19-day long hunger strike by the 25-year-old leader of the Patel community ended on Wednesday. Hardik fasted for the debt forgiveness of Gujarat farmers and demanding reservation for his community. The question asked in the examination was related to his fast.

According to the news agency Bhasha, the multiple question asked in the examination was: Which leader offered water to Hardik Patel, who was sitting on fast recently? Four alternatives were given to the test takers: Sharad Yadav, Shatrughan Sinha, Lalu Prasad and Vijay Rupani.

The correct answer to this question is – Sharad Yadav

Why was the question related to Hardik Patel asked in the examination? When asked, Gandhinagar Mayor Pravinibhai Patel said that he did not know anything about this. Elected representatives of the body are not part of the examination process. He said that GTU had done the task of conducting the examination process.
